Kim and Mike ~ A Winter Engagement in the NH Mountains ~ Part I

Some couples just compliment each other so well and in the process of getting to know them I am so fortunate to learn why they work so well together.
Meet Kim and Mike!
What I love most about Kim and Mike is as hard as they work they play just as hard.
Kim is a full time Children’s Photographer in addition to running her own Lifestyle Photography Business, Kim Jones Photography.
Mike also runs his own business, Kinetic Motorworks where he works on automotive customizing and manufacturing.
Their busy lifestyle is balanced by their love of family, friends, and these two know how to let loose and have fun.
Whether dancing the night away or heading to the mountains and hitting the slopes,
their time spent together radiates in their smiles the fun they both have just being together.
Since they both enjoy the Mountains, we headed north for their engagement session to Plymouth, NH where we stopped at the Common Man Inn and Spa.
Kim was indeed looking for a good reason to kick back with a glass of wine.
Check out these sweet images of the two of them just enjoying each others company over a cocktail.
I made them separate for just a moment to get some quick head shots.
I loved watching Kim laugh at Mike while he tried to give me his best GQ stare before he bust out laughing as well.
As we were headed off after a cocktail, I couldn’t help but notice the gorgeous warm window light so we had to sneak in a silhouette.
I love how the Common Man has so many rustic, romantic spots. Just a few more as they snuggled a top the stairwell.
As light began to become sparse we headed back outdoors to walk through the snow a bit and decide where to head to next.
Here they got a little playful and I just love their expressions wrapped up in each others arms.
Then we headed North! Our Goal was to chase the sunset into the mountains as far North as we could.
We settled on the Christmas Tree Farm in Bethlehem, NH because I remember a few months back what a spectacular sunset appeared over the hills of trees.
It was a hike with the gear but when I saw this image below, it made it all worth it!
I’m obsessed with the red hat and peacoat, but Mike’s hat just added the NH touch of warmth and fun.
As you can see we just kept going until the sun went down.
Congratulations Mike and Kim! I can’t wait for Part II!
A Beautiful Mom to Be! Lifestyle Maternity Session in Londonderry, NH
Such extraordinary beauty is always present in a radiant mother to be!
Lisa wanted to create images that not only captured this incredible moment in her life but that also reflected the true beauty of motherhood and incorporate her loving husband and father to be with some …just beyond the classical style of maternity portraits!
She chose one of my favorite backdrops at Mac’s Apple Orchard in Londonderry so we could watch the sunset behind the pumpkin patch and so Lisa could relax in the shade of the willow trees. After all, this beautiful mommy has not one but two little blessings coming her way!
After walking by the pond and resting at the tree we began to head over to the pumpkin patch where the warm sunlight was pouring in and illuminating the trees…
so we just had to stop and enjoy it for awhile.
And then came sunset in the pumpkin patch… I love these next three images!!!
Lisa, You are truly blessed and are quite the trooper. Congratulations to the both of you!
Hannah ~ Beachside Senior Style at Rye Beach, NH
Today I’m elated to share some images of a lovely young lady that I had the pleasure of photographing recently.
Hannah a senior at North Andover High School, contacted me and explained how she wanted her senior portraits to reflect her love for sunshine and outdoors
Instead of a stuffy studio making “cheesy” poses. She chose the beach as she wanted to feel the wind, which gave her hair a wavy stunning look!
A gorgeous young lady with Hazel eyes, her eyes and expression beamed with warmth and sunshine.
I couldn’t have picked a more suitable location for her senior portraits!
I love how the images below of Hannah walking through the sea flowers and walking through the ocean water
exemplify the contrast between the sweet and casual side of her flowing into the fresh and fun.
She was so much fun to photograph, this smile is from her mom’s influence watching nearby!
While the beach is so gorgeous we also made sure to use the lush foliage by the water. I love the color that she chose.
And of course while having fun, we can make some fun images to!
As we were finishing up, the sun began to set so we stayed awhile longer to play in the water.
This is one of my favorite images from the shoot below. The sunset glowing behind her with just a kiss of warm light to match her amazing smile.
While listening to her mom, I snuck in this picture. It reminded me of the 50′s glamour style…
Hannah you are beautiful inside and out! Good luck to you in your senior year and all the best with your future endeavors!
Kacey ~ Senior Style at the Orchards
Today I’m elated to share some images of a beautiful and talented young lady that I had the pleasure of photographing recently.
Kacey is a Senior this year at Alvirne High School. This delightful young woman has the warmest smile and is full of life and ambition!
I love the dramatic skies below, the rain held off just long enough for her Senior Style session.
Kacey is a dynamic young woman. Her gentle charm paired with her confidence and poise truly shine through in the images below.
A young photographer herself, Kacey is studying photography and film, so we had to get a few shots of her in action by the pond!
Kacey you are such a beautiful and talented young woman! I wish you the best of luck with your last year of school and your future endeavors!
Beth & Dave ~ A Red Hot Engagement in the Rain in Manchester, NH

There are some couples that fit so harmoniously together making up perfect pieces in each others world.
You can see the life and happiness they breathe into each other and nothing else seems to matter. I have known Dave for over 10 years and until I met Beth a few weeks back, I can’t seem to ever recall him with such a smile wrapped from ear to ear as much as he does when he is in her presence.
It couldn’t have been more than 30 degrees outside in the pouring rain the day we shot, but the both of them didn’t seem to mind.
They were perfectly content to be just in each other’s arms…
I love the boots and the hats. These two are so much fun!
After getting soaked walking through the woods we headed off to the location of their first date. Mint Bistro in Manchester, NH.
Yet they just kept playing into each others arms…
How fitting they would choose this place as it a fusion of culinary sophistication, modern charm, and tempting cocktails. So of course, we had to try them!
After we left the Bistro we took a walk a little further down Elm St. To hit up their favorite Irish Pub, The Shaskeen.
Who are we kidding here, it’s my favorite Irish Pub in Manchester to!
Yes, it most certainly is getting hot in here.
I love watching these two together. They are everything from fun, fresh, and playful to passionate.
Beth and Dave the two of you are fantastic! It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon and evening with the both of you and I can not wait for your wedding this spring!
Congratulations to the both of you!!!
Kibbie Family Lifestyle Shoot at Harvey Farm

A rustic farm, rolling fields, fluffy clouds and sunshine are just a few of the perfect elements that make up this next lifestyle family session set in rural New Hampshire! Just add a rocking family like the Kibbies! Since the Kibbie’s are not your typical family, we had to be certain to not have a typical lifestyle session.
So once we got a few of quick shots out of the way, it was definitely time to play.
How fitting that Mr. Xach Kibbie strummed the guitar as the kids frolicked through the fields with the joy and exuberance of youth. There’s nothing better than an end of summer day of family fun in a pastoral scene, harkening back to simpler times with none of the disconnection and distraction of cell phones and video games.
Simple pleasures and serenity as seen in this tranquil setting.
This is one of my favorite parts of the shoot! The kids were more than happy to do their own thing.
Here we are below at one amazing farm, Harvey Farm in Epping, NH.
The Milk Room has got to be the best way to end a great family session…even the barn cat, taking a cue from “man’s best friend” to relax and enjoy the dog days of summer.
Melissah and Xach it was certainly a joy to spend the afternoon playing…photographing in the fields with you and your family!
Hunter ~ Hometown Senior Style

I was so excited when Hunter contacted me for her Senior Lifestyle session! We were sure to get some lively fun images with a twist, that truly showed her just being herself!
Being a beautiful young lady who excels at everything she attempts from schoolwork to sports, she will be graduating from Londonderry High School this Spring!
Here in town, we are spoiled with vast rolling orchards and historic charm on almost every street in town.
Hunter being a true American hometown girl, knew Mac’s Apple Orchard in Londonderry, NH. would be the ideal location for her Senior Style Session!
I just love these images of her just outside the Historical Society Museum! Aside from the fluffy clouds, and vibrant field in the background,
I really admire her independent spirit shining through in these next few images.
On the side of the barn the rustic wood really made these gorgeous eyes pop! I couldn’t resist the contrast here!

Most Londonderry Seniors begin their Londonderry education was at Moose Hill Kindergarten. What a perfect spot it was for us to just wander out into the field and play.
Theses images in the field are perhaps my favorite as I love the way the sunlight catches the light in hair and matches the grass in the field.
Sweet and spirited – says it all. What better way to celebrate youth and life than dancing your heart out in the middle of a field!
We really had some fun here when she just relaxed and laughed and danced her heart away!
Across the road from the historical society, is a favorite place in town where the rolling apple orchard meets the trails and the ponds and my favorite willow tree. The light is always beautiful in this spot, making it a great location not just for pictures but relaxing with friends!

Joining us here, the very lucky handsome man on the left is Jake. We just had to include a few shots of Hunter with him. A remarkable young couple!

The Senior Style Session would not be complete without the following shots of these wonderful young women. The ladies below were just fantastic, the sweetest group of girls and the best of friends!

Hunter I know that you and your friends are going to have an amazing year! I wish you the best of luck in your adventures and the brightest future imaginable.

Little Maggie’s Big Day: A Winter Christening

This past summer I had the distinct pleasure of sharing in the joy of Erin & Mike’s gorgeous July wedding. It was not long after that I received word from Erin & Mike expressing their elation at welcoming the beautiful Miss Maggie into their world! I was overwhelmed with excitement not only for the opportunity to meet this precious little lady but to also photograph her first BIG event!
Miss Maggie’s special day began with a post-morning nap portrait session. The only thing, other than Daddy and Grandpa, that could make her smile was the mixing bowl… worn upon my head! Mixing bowl or not… this precious little lady became a treasured subject in a matter of moments!
Look at those eyes! Just like Mommy’s!

These are my favorite images from the portrait session!
Daddy had had enough of his beautiful girls playing dress up so he stole Miss Maggie away for some much needed cuddle time before her big event.
Is there anything sweeter than a Daddy and his precious, little girl?
In no time we had to say adieu to our portrait session and make our way over to St. Mary Magdalene’s in Tyngsboro, MA where Father Ron was preparing for Maggie’s Christening.
I loved that all the children present were invited up to the front of the ceremony to help Fr. Ron bless the water. All those little fingers were just too sweet!

It was such a pleasure and honor to be able to share this blessed occasion with such a welcoming, loving and warm family! No family event would be complete without a generations photo (Maggie, Mom, Aunt and Grammy) and my personal favorite from the day!
Congratulations to you all!
Mariel ~ Lifestyle Portrait Photography

Some people are born with a gift for making others feel welcome and at home. For them, it takes very little effort as it is merely part of who they are.
This fall, I had the distinct pleasure to photograph such a warm and passionate person.
Mariel is the picture of elegance and sophistication. She exudes an air of confidence and professionalism that can be viewed as somewhat rare nowadays. But it is her kindness and warmth that draws you in and makes you feel as though you have known her forever.
We spent a late afternoon and early evening shooting on location. It was a marvelous time spent creatively exploring different locations inside and around her home, deciding on what to wear and gossiping about love and life. From the food and friends to the laughter and conversation,
our time together felt more like a Ladies Night than a portrait session!!
Mariel was so open and willing to be herself that we were able to capture images that express how fun,
inviting and truly beautiful this woman is!!
…and my favorite image with that breathtaking natural light…
