Every now and then you meet a couple that is so incredibly in love with each other, that they just make each other shine brighter and more beautiful when in each others presence. I met Aubrey and Corey over a year ago and for hours we chatted about their sweet story of how they fell in love and shared all the details over a glass of wine.  She had everything planned out perfectly and knew exactly what they wanted. From the love birds to the lanterns and butterflies…
I knew they were troopers and fantastic with weather mishaps when we did their engagement shoot in the freezing cold last winter, you can see that here!

What we didn’t expect was a surprise visit from Mother Nature to join us for their gorgeous outdoor mountain side wedding…

Now that everyone was ready we were all fretting hoping the rain could just hold off a little longer.  In the meantime we bring you ring security…

There was not a dry eye in the crowd at this very moment…

As the rain fell lightly at first they held hands and smiled at each other, then the skies opened up and they stood their strong, smiling, and just laughed…

It was such a beautiful moment!

The rain held off for the portraits above and then mother nature just couldn’t keep away. Aubrey and Corey still wanted to walk around and get some fantastic images of just the two of them mountainside in the tree farm. I was so excited even though it was raining again! She was so poised and beautiful!

 I love these shots below…

Reception time!

It was truly a beautiful wedding, even with the howling winds and wacky weather. There was even a mini tornado that rolled through that night! But cheers to them!
A couple that proves nothing will stop them from being with each other.

Beth & Dave ~ A Red Hot Engagement in the Rain in Manchester, NH

There are some couples that fit so harmoniously together making up perfect pieces in each others world.
You can see the life and happiness they breathe into each other and nothing else seems to matter.  I have known Dave for over 10 years and until I met Beth a few weeks back, I can’t seem to ever recall him with such a smile wrapped from ear to ear as much as he does when he is in her presence.
It couldn’t have been more than 30 degrees outside in the pouring rain the day we shot,  but the both of them didn’t seem to mind.
They were perfectly content to be just in each other’s arms…

I love the boots and the hats. These two are so much fun!

After getting soaked walking through the woods we headed off to the location of their first date.  Mint Bistro in Manchester, NH.
Yet they just kept playing into each others arms…

How fitting they would choose this place as it a fusion of culinary sophistication, modern charm, and tempting cocktails. So of course, we had to try them!

After we left the Bistro we took a walk a little further down Elm St. To hit up their favorite Irish Pub, The Shaskeen.
Who are we kidding here, it’s my favorite Irish Pub in Manchester to!

Yes, it most certainly is getting hot in here.

I love watching these two together. They are everything from fun, fresh, and playful to passionate.

Beth and Dave the two of you are fantastic! It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon and evening with the both of you and I can not wait for your wedding this spring!
Congratulations to the both of you!!!

Shae & Jeff ~ A Salisbury Beach Engagement!

“Being with her, I never laughed so hard or had so much fun as when we are together… I knew by our second date I wanted to share the rest of my life with her.” ~Jeff

When I met Shae and Jeff a few months ago, I could instantly feel the love that they had for each other spread through the room and make any other couple sitting by envious. I throughly enjoyed getting to know the both of them and hearing their stories. Such a sweet and fun couple, they had me laughing all night.  Together they have such a fun and charismatic lifestyle that truly embraces each other and their families.

We planned their engagement shoot for the beach between Seabrook, NH and Salisbury, MA. Just a normal day at the beach doing their favorite things; walking, talking, playing scrabble and the day would not have been complete without their just as enthusiastic labrador Jackson joining us!

I do believe Jackson is stealing the show in the images below…

After playing on the beach we walked over to a sandy area and threw out a blanket. Shae popped out their favorite game, and they just sat and played for awhile.
To watch these two interact is pure joy.

The two of you are so fun and refreshing to be around! I can not wait for your wedding next November!

Peggy and Rick Home for the Holidays!

Last year on Christmas Eve I was so happy to release a very special Christmas post dedicated to SSG Richard Nolan!
It was so wonderful to have photographs that I did of Peggy and her family be the gift for her husband overseas. Especially knowing how important these photographs were, as she would not get to be with the love of her life until the following August. I was so touched by her idea as well as inspired by her work as a writer, author, teacher, and now very good friend of mine. When the post went live last Christmas – I made sure to get the dates and schedule a couples session just for the two of them
when Rick came home from Iraq this fall.

To see the two of them together is a complete joy.
I would try to write something clever and unique about the two of them, but I don’t believe I could put it into words and truly do them justice.
(After all Peggy is an amazing writer…  You can see her blog Serendipity Smiles and the work she does for The Stepmom’s Toolbox.) So better to just show you my favorite moments from spending the afternoon on a walk with them!

The two of you are so perfect together! I’m so happy to now know you both and your family!

Sarah & Mike’s Mountainside Wedding at Pat’s Peak!

My favorite time of year just begins at the end of summer when the days are starting to get shorter, the heat has faded, the air is crisp in the mornings and evenings with just enough difference to let you know something exciting is happening very soon!

It begins the most romantic time of the year! The best place to embrace the end of summer are the gorgeous Mountains in New Hampshire!  Ok, I’m a little biased here,  but I’m sure Sarah and Mike, who we met a few months back in A Woodsy Engagement Post, completely  agree and chose Pat’s Peak Banquet Center for the gorgeous backdrop of their Pink and Green  Mountainside Wedding! It was such a beautiful day as the skies cleared up just in time for the outdoor ceremony.

Check out some of thing amazing details! I can’t get enough of the colors against the birch and rustic interiors!

Sarah getting ready in the beautiful window light with all the girls was just gorgeous, a great job by Stacy Paige
from Walking in Style Salon in Goffstown, NH for her superb updo!

I even almost got teary after her mom wrapped her arms around her right before the ceremony and gave her a very emotional hug before sending her down the aisle!

Mike was great, he was so excited and did not take his eyes off the door waiting for his beautiful bride to be to walk down to him!

The setting…just gorgeous!

Sarah’s mom started the Ceremony off with a beautiful song to Sarah and Mike, From this Moment On by Shania Twain.
I don’t think there was a dry eye on the mountain! Stunning and beautiful barely covers it!

And introducing… Mr. and Mrs. Laponsie…

and the Bridal Party!

I just love the wind blowing up on the Mountain with nothing but clouds and fresh air and romance.

This has got to be one of the coolest wedding cakes from Jacques’ Fine European Pastries I’ve ever seen, elegant, natural matching the couple and the day with such exquisite taste!

What a fantastic night of Love, Laughter, and dancing.
The crowd was great, so lively and excited,  and one of my Favorite DJ’s Dave Nadeau from Main Event got the party rocking from the very first dance all the way through, what a spectacular time!

Congratulations Sarah and Mike! I wish you a life  full of happiness joy and love! Thank you so much for having me capture your wedding day!

Kassey & Eric ~ A Classic Urban Wedding

My first post about Kassey and Eric feels like FOREVER ago!  We had just spent a gorgeous afternoon capturing images with a retro and subdued feel, playing around with cool props and taking full advantage of all the great textures of the NH landscape… except for when the sun went down and the temperature started to rise (wink, wink).

While their engagement shoot was outstanding, Kassey & Eric’s wedding was OUTRAGEOUS!  The whole day pulsated with energy… young, colorful and lively!  Everything about this couple is vibrant and effervescent!  Kassey looked breathtaking!  I mean, really… you have to see this gown!  I may not be one to wear so much dress but… my lord… it is SPECTACULAR!

While Eric was looking ever so swank in his tux!

I find it so hard to not get carried away by this image! So romantic!

One of the most touching and moving moments of the evening came when Eric’s brother, stationed overseas and unable to attend, surprised Eric with a phone call and a very special toast to celebrate this magnificent day!

Special shout outs to another rocking ensemble of vendors!

THANK YOU to Kris and Kristen, the amazing husband and wife team, of Kris Rae Photography for their stellar 2nd shooting!

Grace Limo did a fantastic job making sure everyone got to exactly where they were supposed to be!  And, I happened to get this rocking shot of the limo… en route… at night… while moving…

SO COOL!

Last but most certainly not least… no evening would be complete without the pizzazz of Rick Bowie from Get Down Tonight Entertainment bringing the fun and rockin’ tunes!!

Kassey & Eric – I have loved working with you!  Thank you for the distinct honor!  Congratulations!

Tuxedo:  Men’s Wearhouse

Sherri & Mike’s E-Shoot with Miss Ellie!

July 8, 2010 by

If you listen to “a lot of people” out there, you might be led to believe that falling in love at work is something you must avoid at all costs.
Funny. I make a habit out of not necessarily listening to “a lot of people” out there. After all…I met my husband at work!
Thankfully, Sherri and Mike gave little consideration to “a lot of people” as well!

Sherri & Mike met as co-workers at a local area Sprint store. From co-workers to friends and from friends to lovers, this couple found themselves inextricably tied to each-other.
Now, four years later, blessed with a beautiful daughter, they are set to celebrate their love with friends and family in a NH lakeside wedding next month.

Like most summer days, it was gorgeous for Sherri & Mike’s engagement shoot! We found ourselves frollicking about a local park, lounging in the shade of a giant Willow tree and enjoying the refreshing water of the park’s main fountain. From there we ventured back to where it all began as Sherri and Mike were let loose to play and get creative!

And Miss Ellie…she is just the sweetest, happy little lady!

Thank you to the staff at the Daniel Webster HWY Sprint for allowing us to take your store hostage for the afternoon! We had a great time playing around in front of the window display! Hopefully we weren’t too much of a distraction! An immense Thank You to Diane, Sherri’s Mom, for joining us during the first half of the shoot!
It was wonderful to be able to include Ellie in the day!

Congratulations to you both! I’m so looking forward to the BIG event!!
